Job Summary

The Senior Communications Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Executive and Internal Communications, supporting the development and realization of strategic internal and executive communications for the Health Solutions group, including the Chief Health Officer and Chief Health Transformation and Affordability Officer.

Responsibilities

This roleplays a critical role in promoting, supporting and driving the interests and goals of the Health Solutions team, including:


  • Writing articles, blogs, FAQs, and other communications for employees, in partnership with subject matter experts across the company

  • Writing and publishing content in SharePoint and Dynamic Signal

  • Writing and publishing content on Yammer, as well as driving and/or participating in discrete Yammer campaigns to promote employee engagement

  • Developing creative briefs and concepts to execute across a variety of media (videos, webinar presentations, events/meetings)

  • Supporting the Internal Communications team with online and in-person enterprise-wide meetings, forums, town halls, leadership forums and virtual meetings

  • Leveraging employee feedback channels (such as surveys, using Qualtrics), monitoring real-time feedback, analyzing data, and making recommendations for improvement








Knowledge and Experience

The Senior Communications Specialist will possess:


  • A minimum of five years of experience in internal, HR or employee communications or public relations

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English or related field

  • Strong writing and message development skills; ability to translate complex ideas and tell a story concisely to different audiences

  • Proven communications experience (writing portfolio, campaign samples, etc.)

  • Adaptable and curious, a healthy level of willingness to try something new

  • A team player, collaborative and energizing

  • Sound decision-making, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills relative to job scope

  • Strong interpersonal communications skills and relationship management experience, able to work productively with internal clients and partners at all levels

  • Strong work ethic, initiative and commitment

  • Able to juggle a diverse roster of projects at the same time, managing these projects from inception through delivery with little oversight

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, survey and web publishing tools

  • Experience with SharePoint or other intranet or interactive media and web-based communication vehicles, such as MS Streams, Teams, Dynamic Signal, etc.

  • Experience running large meeting using WebEx, Zoom, etc.

  • Familiarity with health care, wellness or insurance a plus

  • Creative, graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite) and video experience a plus
