Reliability Technician Instrumentation


Position pays $38.88/hour


Sign-On Bonus eligible - $1,000

Our Reliability Technician Instrumentation will be part of a team of other skilled technicians; however, your duties will often be performed with minimal supervision so the Reliability Technician Instrumentation must be comfortable working independently in an industrial setting as well as being able to adopt our, "flow to the work" practices that have been adopted by Georgia-Pacific

What You Will Do In Your Role


·Performing preventive and predictive maintenance inspections using diagnostic tools and test equipment and make necessary corrections to keep equipment from failing


·Writing work orders, recording maintenance results, and reading and updating drawings and other documentation


·Ability to calibrate, configure, install, and troubleshoot transmitters, actuators, valves, positioners, meters, testers and other instrumentation and controls


·Facilitate and assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of premature failures, offering solutions and implementing corrective actions preventing reoccurrence


·Demonstrate troubleshooting skills that allow our equipment to operate as designed in accordance with OEM specifications


·Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in mill safety program



    The Experience You Will Bring


    Requirements:


    • High school diploma or GED
    • Possession of an Oregon Electrician License of "Limited Energy Technician Class B" or higher
    • One (1) year Journey level Instrument experience
    • Experience with PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers)
    • Experience working with computers

    What Will Put You Ahead


    • Two (2) years of maintenance experience in an industrialized, manufacturing environment
    • Four (4) or more years of experience in the pulp and paper industry
    • Experience in Industrial Process Controls (PLC, DCS, control valves, industrial instrumentation for flow, pressure, & temperature)
