***This position can be based out of RICOH's Exton, PA headquarters or remotely anywhere in the Eastern time zone.
Primarily responsible for providing competitive and market intelligence for sales, marketing and management teams. This person will meet with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize and respond to competitor and market information needs required for making strategic, tactical and sales planning decisions.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide market and competitive intelligence to Marketing and Sales teams to support Marketing and Sales strategy, tactics and execution
Profile key competitors through in-depth analysis. Communicate critical competitor information throughout the organization.
Analyze market intelligence and share data from secondary and syndicated data sources such as Gartner, IDC, Keypoint Intelligence to convey Ricoh's market position by segment and identify growing market opportunities and/or early warnings of share or segment declines.
Work with industry analysts to provide data, feedback and information on key current and future industry changes.
Communicate findings and intelligence through newsletters, e-mails, collaboration sites and workspaces. Communicate both executive-ready summaries, and detailed summaries depending on audience.
Develop innovative and creative ways to deliver insights to stakeholders.
Understand Portfolio and Product strategies, to align MI/CI resources, budget and activities.
Support creation and presentation of quarterly MI and CI report (report and meeting) to Marketing stakeholders summarizing what we have seen, trends, future scenarios and implications for Ricoh; understand how insights change and influence Portfolio and Product strategies.
Work with Marketing Portfolio, Product, Field and Channel teams, and Sales Operations and Planning to combine market, competitive and product intelligence for a holistic approach to support the sales teams' efforts as they communicate Ricoh's value proposition to customers.
Support Marketing and Sales on an ad-hoc basis by providing market and competitive information for sales forecasts to increase their understanding of industry trends and market share.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
College degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in competitive intelligence or market analysis
Working knowledge of primary and secondary research methodologies and techniques used to acquire market and competitive intelligence
Experience designing and executing a variety of competitive intelligence projects.
Experience identifying and prioritizing key topic areas within an organization
Successful track record of working with cross-functional teams.
Project management experience. Proactively manages and adjusts to the needs of internal stakeholders.
Ability to utilize standard software applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
