Ricoh Quality Development Engineering (QDE) is looking for an engineer with strong electro-mechanical design validation skills. In addition to testing very complex continuous feed printing systems, candidate position requires a working knowledge of automation tools (Python, Java, MatLab, etc.) to facilitate automation of testing, data collection, analysis, and reporting. QDE is implementing a non-traditional initiative that involves shifting quality activities left in the development schedule rather than wait to be involved at the end of development. This initiative builds quality into the product early so that final confirmation before releasing is a simpler and more efficient task which ultimately ensures greater customer satisfaction.
The roles and responsibilities of this position extend beyond that of the traditional Test Engineer. Participation in development activities, including actual design and development of hardware and software on functional components of the product and participation in Engineering Verification Test (EVT) is a large part of this job. Ricoh is cultivating a tight collaborative partnership between the Development organization and QDE which involves working side by side through the product development cycle.
