We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client's team in Bedminster, New Jersey as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). The MSL role will facilitate opportunities to provide education between the healthcare industry, thought leaders, and healthcare professionals (HCP). Potential candidates should reside within the territory they manage (Ohio, Michigan, or Pennsylvania). If you are a career-focused professional, this is the role for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, establish, and maintain collaborative relationships with scientific leaders, speakers, investigators, and payors in appropriate product development
Document interactions and maintain records via company systems
Facilitate and enhance the development/recognition of client products through communication of product-related pharmacoeconomic, scientific, and medical information/data to relevant healthcare providers, scientific leaders, policy makers, and managed market personnel/payers
Assist in the identification and training of speakers for promotional programs
Maintain clinical acumen by staying well-informed of scientific literature and attending relevant symposia, scientific workshops, and/or CME events
Support company-sponsored and investigator-sponsored research projects
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 years of MSL experience required, in lipidology, cardiometabolic, or nephrology preferred
Cardiometabolic experience required
Payor experience desired
Good understanding of the organizational network of academic, industry, and corporate culture
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects expeditiously and collaboratively
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation skills to payer audiences (Managed Care Medical Directors and Pharmacy Directors)
Detailed understanding of compliance regulations/requirements/guidelines that govern the MSL position and experience interacting with providers, payers, sales representatives, and promotional activities
Travel required - up to 70% (prior to covid, right now travel is restricted) which includes overnight and/or weekend travel
EDUCATION
Minimum of Advanced Clinical/Science degree with professional credentials (MD/DO, PhD, EdD, PharmD) required
