This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and growing organization. The Payroll Specialist will ensure the accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for multiple US branches. You will have an opportunity to have a big impact in a critically significant role.
General Overview of What You’ll Be Doing:
Providing excellent payroll support to 1000+ employees and cross-functional teams by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests.
Checking and auditing payrolls ensuring legislative compliance with internal safeguards.
Answering any pay related questions from “customers” (employees, supervisors, and managers).
Reviewing benefit deductions.
Maintain personnel files.
Verify completion and backup documents for I9 forms.
Transfer New Hires from Taleo to Oracle Cloud application to ADP Workforce Now.
Setup of New Hires and maintenance of all employees in Kronos Timekeeping.
Set up garnishments including support orders, tax liens, bankruptcies, etc. as needed. Send employee garnishment letters informing them of the garnishment.
Process Terminations: Final check, Vacation payout, Severance Pay,
Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to Benefits, Human Resources and Payroll within their control.
Process salary increases, address changes, position changes and any other related changes to an employee’s records.
Reconciliation of 401(k) deposits.
Ensure confidentiality of all information flowing through the payroll department.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and wage & hour laws, regulations, or guidelines.
Critical Attributes:
2+ years U.S. payroll experience. Multi-state environment is a plus
Solid knowledge of payroll principles, rules and regulations and with demonstrated strong payroll technical skills in a variety of areas including, payroll processing, reporting, payroll taxes, account reconciliations, etc.
Strength in using Excel including formulas and functions (VLOOKUPS and Pivot tables).
