Job Description:

The incumbent is responsible for providing direct support to Category Managers in order to meet their identified business objectives for Publix private brand products. In addition to private brands counsel, this position will lead the Speed to Market process to improve process time and drive the financial benefits of getting private brand products to market faster. The specialist works cross-functionally with all stakeholders in the Speed to Market process, makes recommendations for improvement, develops measurement tools, analyzes data, and provides reports detailing progress of projects.

 

Responsibilities include: 

 


  • Internal consulting for Publix private brands to various corporate support and retail operations associates

  • Driving financial and timeline improvements by managing approved product projects through the STM process for Label Maintenance Maintenance

  • Training all stakeholders for STM improvements and new associates

  • Being SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the overall STM process supporting all stakeholders

  • Establishing annual supplier review schedule and supporting designated supplier review projects, especially new categories

  • Creating, analyzing and distributing reports to stakeholders within Publix to identify opportunities and to facilitate informed decision making.


  • Bachelor degree in Business or related field

  • Minimum 1 year of project management experience

  • Minimum 1 year data analysis experience

  • Minimum 1 year of product or private brand experience

  • Proficient at MS office applications

  • Knowledge of brand marketing principles

  • Knowledge of store brand/private brand strategies

  • Knowledge of business analysis

  • Understanding Publix category management processes

  • Knowledge of retail operations

  • Knowledge of measurement systems

  • Knowledge of STM processes, priorities, roles, and responsibilities

  • Project Management skills

  • Ability to develop spreadsheets and manipulate data using MS Office, Scan-data or Nielsen/IRI data, including Power Point presentations

  • Ability to work in cross-functional role

  • Advanced degree in business, or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience
