Position Summary:   

The Sr. Informatica Developer will work as part of the Data & Analytics Platform team within Constellation Brands Information Technology organization. The ongoing mission of the Data & Analytics Platform team is to continue to bring the best application solutions for Constellation Brand’s data management systems, bring together various business communities for process improvement, in order to deliver the highest quality data to consuming systems. The Sr. Data Management Developer will be responsible for the overall architecture of our Data Management applications.  Working with both internal and external team members to gather business requirements, set architectural direction, align with service level agreements, and data quality metrics. He/she will be expected to work closely with other team members to interpret the defined requirements in support of design and development activities. This individual is expected to gather and translate business requirements into the appropriate application solutions. In addition, this person will be expected to participate in design review, level 3 support, risk assessment and the derivation of future enhancements.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Interface with business analysts and functional leads to gather requirements


• Perform requirement Gap Analysis against existing design to determine required modifications


• Develop and finalize logical and physical data models required by the application(s)


• Create source to target data mappings to support ongoing development


• Develop technical design documents to define the flow of data and data standardization


• Establish and maintain underlying Database Object Naming Standards, Schemas, Tables, Columns, Indexes required by the data management & data quality application(s)


• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture team to establish consistent Integration Patterns


• Perform Level 3 support duties as required


• Lead Level Review of design, code and testing before implementation occurs:

• Interface with developers to translate SDLC documents into technical specifications and develop technical solutions


• Focus on developing domain knowledge across all areas of the organization to become a true business technologist for the company


• Support and maintain the principles established through the SDLC Design


• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent knowledge/experience is required


• 5+ years of hands-on experience with data management application development, architecture, and design (Informatica Entity 360, Active VOS, Data Quality, Enterprise Data Catalog, Axon preferred)


• 5+ years working on data management Projects


• A proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under competing priorities and deadlines.


• Eagerness to mentor junior team members and raise quality of the data strategy, design, and implementation across the practice by sharing insights and methods through training, community, etc.


• Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions as part of a high-talent team


• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Visio)


• Spanish language a plus


• Occasional travel required.

• Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time


• Primary work environment is professional corporate office


• Must be able to travel commercially and internationally


• Must have a valid driver’s license
