Product Manager

Youwill be responsible for managing a large volume vendor or multiple product lines and vendors to include managing the P&L, inventory and vendor programs and relationships as well as providing sales and operations support when necessary.

Get Inspired by the Work You'll Do

Engage with vendor, Business Development Managers (BD) and sales teams to enable Account Managers (AM) with the information, knowledge, and tools to effectively and efficiently facilitate our vendor partners in the marketplace and achieve sales targets. Create operational efficiencies and assist in driving sales of assigned vendor line(s). Manage POS system data for the assigned vendor line(s).

Responsibilities and Duties:

Sales and Operations Support


  • Act as a key liaison between the company and a major vendor(s)

  • Prepares and analyzes forecasts and inventory; Manages the P&L, inventory, vendor programs, and relationships

  • Monitors and measures P&L of a product line

  • Identify, lead and execute operational efficiency projects

  • Point of escalation for Account Managers for assigned vendors

  • Support AM sales calls with customers on individual opportunities

  • Update internal website(s) with current sales guides, process guides, price lists, contacts, etc.

  • Assist Order Management and Customer Service teams to solve post-sales issues

  • Coordinate and deliver training to the sales team via email updates, training room and WebEx.

  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate vendor projects, programs, promotions

  • Create pricing templates, vendor groups, and special pricing procedures for vendors

  • Assist purchasing as a point of contact for expedites and escalation of ETAs with the vendor

Vendor and Customer Relations


  • Order processing subject matter expert by vendor

  • Vendor program subject matter expert for order and program requirements

  • In coordination with BD team and sales teams, works within customer accounts to recruit, develop and position product line and Westcon services

  • Build relationships with all key vendor contacts

Your passion is sparked by:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent plus 2 - 5 years of related experience

Comprehensive knowledge of PM processes, procedures and terminology

Demonstrated background exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices todetermine appropriate action

Proven experience building productive internal/external working relationships

Excellent verbal and written communications a must with demonstrated organizational and planning skills



  • Knowledge

    • IT/Security/Telecom industry experience preferred

    • Microsoft Office Applications

    • SAP or other similar application experience preferred

    • Intermediate level or greater of Microsoft Excel preferred




  • Qualifications

    • A team player that collaborates with others to exceed established goals

    • BS/BA or equivalent experience with 2-4 years IT/Security sales and/or operational experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Detail Oriented

    • Organization and planning skills



ColoradoHiringBase SalaryRange:

$39,000 - $74,750

Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be basedona number ofvariables includinggeographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will bemutuallyagreeduponat the time of offer.
