Job Summary

An Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Installs power and lighting circuits and repairs distribution circuits


• Runs conduit and wiring for machines, equipment and lighting 


• Maintains operating efficiency of distribution panels, switches, controllers, voltage regulators, transformers and electric motors


• Inspects, maintains, tests and repairs all electric powered equipment and machines 


• Reads and interprets schematics, wiring diagrams, blue prints and repair manuals to provide required technical support


• Assists in the company's Preventative Maintenance Program and shift Maintenance Techs


• Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers and coordinate findings and recommendations with Maintenance, Production and Controls Department

Requirements

• Previous electrician experience working in a manufacturing environment


• Valid Electrician’s License


• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics principles


• Safety conscious


• Able to work in a fast paced environment


• Reliable, dependable, proven work ethic
