Opportunities are available on all shifts:

  • 1st Shift 4 Day: Monday - Thursday, 4:30am - 3:00pm

  • 1st Shift 5 Day: Monday - Thursday, 5:30am - 2:30pm, Friday 5:30am - 11:30am

  • 1st Shift 5 Day: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3:00pm

  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am

  • Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday, 7:30am - 8:00pm

Instrument Builders assemble mechanical and electronic measuring devices. Tasks include hand soldering and brazing, making repairs, performing product testing, and packaging.  JOB DUTIES

  1. Perform tasks at workstations such as: standard assembly operations, hand soldering, brazing and welding including rework and repair, perform calibrations requiring judgment to assure conformance to specifications, variables testing, modular troubleshooting and repairs and packaging of finished product. Operate CNC machines using appropriate gauging and tooling, operate and adjust equipment using judgment to assure conformance to specifications.

  2. Perform standard and non-standard setups exercising judgment in making adjustments to equipment to assure conformance to specifications.

  3. Perform routine preventive maintenance.

  4. Verify part quality. Employ SPC techniques and take appropriate action.

  5. Actively participate in process improvement teams.

  6. Recommend changes to and participate in the revision of manufacturing procedures.

  7. Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area.

  8. May work in a clean room environment.

  9. May train other Instrument Builders.

  10. Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervision.

  11. Perform electronic transactions within the business operating system as necessary.

  12. Performs multiple production tasks to allow for effective job rotations.
