Under general direction, focuses on the use of information and analytics to improve health and optimize consumer and provider focused business processes. Responsible for the extraction and analysis of health care information. Evaluates, writes, and presents reports to support business operations for internal and external customers in an effort to control medical cost and improve the quality of services provided to members and providers. Responsible for research using multiple sources of data and analyzing algorithms.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills and problem solving


• Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills


• Must be self-motivated and able to work within a team environment


• Able to work with business partners for requirement gathering


• Able to develop/modify report queries and/or processes to support business requirements


• Able to manage multiple priorities with varying deadlines


• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel pivot tables

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or equivalent preferred


• 4 years of reporting, or programming experience preferred


• Experience with SQL required


• Python experience preferred


• Experience with Microsoft SSRS/SSIS and Visual Studio


• 2 years of experience with Tableau


• Healthcare background a plus
