Owns the output of a key discipline within Product Management and typically manages a team of Product Management job family roles. Directs programs for a significant product or product category. Evaluates research on the market's product requirements and identifies enhancements to current features and functionality. Monitors product performance and directs adjustments. May contribute to the development of marketing strategies, including product direction, advertising, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans and future product development, to manage a product or product category's life cycle. Utilizes in-depth professional knowledge and experience to set departmental goals which align with functional strategy. Focuses on achievement of departmental goals and plays a significant part in achieving functional goals. Note: Product Management roles may include a blend of Product Management/Product Development responsibilities.

We also provide governance and oversight and share best practices, solutions, and insights across Cigna - a Fortune-15 global health service company - to champion the voice of our constituency and help stakeholders and leadership realize their goals through digital channels.

About this role

The Digital Product Manager will have responsibilities ranging from strategy and planning to operations and delivery, with a focus on driving a culture of digital thinking and delivering value to Cigna.com's broad audience, its stakeholders, and the company's leadership. You'll guide the development and delivery of long and short-term digital strategy plans that align with business goals. This is a high-profile, high-impact opportunity where you'll be responsible for delivering a superior digital experience that results in increased conversion, organic traffic, task completion, and engagement.

This is a management position with direct reports.

Responsibilities


  • Understand and apply foundational Key Performance Indicators, business drivers, user research findings, and digital analytics to develop solutions and engagement strategies, prioritize efforts, and drive delivery.

  • Communicate digital vision and capabilities to senior management within Cigna and share insights and trends; provide subject-matter expertise, internally and externally; stay abreast of the industry and competitive landscape.

  • Understand the use and practicality of new and emerging digital technologies and functionalities, and introduce new and relevant ideas and capabilities on a regular basis.

  • Proactively communicate within Cigna Digital, Service Operations, Marketing, and IT management groups preparing annual business plans; incorporate technology planning/capabilities into business objectives.

  • Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders including Business Development, Sales, Product, Service Operations, Marketing, Legal, and IT.

  • Take a proactive and engaged approach to coaching, mentoring, and guiding your direct reports and the Agile teams in which they sit, in an effort to build and/or enhance overall digital capabilities.


Job Qualifications


  • Proven track record successfully delivering a superior digital experience and engagement strategy in the digital arena; able to effectively collaborate with front-end development teams; strong understanding of user-centered design.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a complex and fluid environment; demonstrated success in building and maintaining large digital properties.

  • Deep understanding of modern web UI architecture and development, responsive web design, SEO, and analytics.

  • Experience successfully managing critical digital products and cross-functional teams in a demanding Agile environment.

  • A leader who considers the competitive landscape and who assesses both current and future needs.

  • Effective at building relationships and using influence across all levels and functions of the organization.

  • Experience in healthcare or similar industry and a proven track record of delivering in complex regulated environments are pluses.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience working in product management or closely related role.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
