Job Summary

The Harvard-MIT Center for Regulatory Science (CRS) seeks a creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the team as Communications and Outreach Coordinator. Reporting to the Harvard-MIT Center for Regulatory Science Program Director and working closely with the Center's leadership, the Communications and Outreach Coordinator will support the Center's activities in 2 major areas: (1) communications; (2) administrative support, including meeting and event support.

CRS brings together a vibrant community of biomedical research scientists and physicians in academia, industry, and regulatory agencies who seek to improve the development and evaluation of medical products. The Center serves as a platform that fosters interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder discussions on regulatory science topics and infrastructure needs. CRS supports a Regulatory Science Fellowship, local and international conferences, and a portfolio of research collaborations with regulatory agencies, industry, and other academic institutions.

Job-Specific Responsibilities
The Communications and Outreach Coordinator is expected to adeptly communicate with stakeholders at all levels (senior government officials, faculty, industry practitioners, fellows, students, etc.) to effectively represent the Center. A successful candidate in this role will have outstanding writing and communication skills, be proactive, have excellent organizational skills with particular ability to prioritize work in a complex environment. Demonstrated project management, ability to work independently with minimal supervision and have strong interpersonal skills are critical core requirements.


Basic Qualifications
3 or more years of experience in communications, marketing or related field; education may count towards experience


Working Conditions
PLEASE NOTE: The primary work location for this position is Boston, Massachusetts. Until our return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, the interview process and position will be conducted virtually - including virtual interviews, remote onboarding and remote work. The remote nature of this position is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required as a condition of continued employment once the School and this role return to an operational status that supports on-campus work.
