Job Responsibilities
The Foreign Trade Analyst is a key player in Lam's Global Trade Compliance operations. Located at the Livermore Global Operations, the Analyst coordinates compliance activities among the various organizations and 3rd party vendor partners that impact global trade. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Trade Operations, assists in meeting corporate worldwide trade compliance policies, regional policies and supply chain/logistics functions.
The Foreign Trade Analyst position will participate and facilitate key import and export activities to support the day to day operations fulfillment infrastructure within the business streams and strategies for Lam Research.
Assist in providing in-house expertise on import and export trade matters including the FTZ manufacturing sub zone. Help to develop and implement duty/tax, FTA and drawback saving strategies and support the strategic global manufacturing distribution trade model.

Other Job Responsibilities


  • Manage daily import and export filings in the FTZ
  • Partner with key stakeholders in implementing corrective action plan and process improvements at the FTZs
  • Assist in managing Trade Compliance operations
  • Manage daily operational issues for exporting shipment, documentation, processes and corrective actions. Focus on root cause corrective actions
  • Trade compliance issue escalation
  • Destination country import processes
  • Identify regional trade trends and changes in the trade environment
  • Manage and support AES filings, regulations and corrections when applicable
  • Provide FTZ trade compliance training and on-site support
  • Use of SAP and trade automation systems
  • Manage broker and drawback reporting in excel
  • Administer drawback processes and filings
  • Responsible for FTZ operational performance including bonded shipping, bonded receiving, inventory control, AES Filing
  • Write work instructions and procedures related to bonded process, export controls AES filings and licensed goods

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of export and import regulations for U.S.
Seven years' experience working as a broker, forwarder, major importer and/or exporter, with
knowledge and experience in creating shipping documentation and filing AES
Knowledge and experience with ACE beneficial
Excel data management. Able to demonstrate skills speed and efficiency in data management
Experience with SAP advantageous
Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels and disciplines
