Position Title:  Senior Financial Analyst    (5E)             


 


Position Summary


 


The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be responsible for performing high quality and accurate financial reporting and analysis such as the preparation of annual budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasts and their respective variance analysis. The SFA will develop, maintain and improve complex, scalable models, spreadsheets and databases to facilitate analysis and reporting. The SFA will be responsible for conducting and documenting recurring and ad hoc financial analysis for assigned business unit. The SFA is expected to seek innovative solutions while delivering high quality and accurate work products that drive continuous improvements to new and existing reporting, tools and financial processes. The SFA will partner with business leaders to articulate business results, forecasts, annual budgets, variance analysis and opportunities to improve business results with key driver analysis. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills to recommend alternative solutions and influence data driven decision making for business improvements.


 


Essential Job Functions


 



  • Develop and maintain reporting tools & analysis to enable real time analytics and financial performance management.

  • Create insights from data to inform stakeholders and influence data driven decision making.

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders to achieve company’s objectives and key results.

  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic forecasts, annual budgets and management reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas.

  • Research and prepare variance analysis and key driver explanations.

  • Perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.

  • Understands the business and its operational and financial data flows and has thorough knowledge of databases, tables and field usage.

  • Utilize and leverage available coding, development, analytic and reporting tools to create financial reports and dashboards.

  • Lead and collaborate on special projects to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of financial reporting and processes.

Education/Certifications


 



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline preferred.

 


Experience/Minimum Requirements


 



  • Five (5) years of experience in a financial analyst or accounting related position.

  • Routine communication with management relating to financial analysis, issues and deliverables.

  • Strong ability to effectively and efficiently communicate financial results to management.

  • Demonstrate candor and poise to field difficult questions from internal and external audience.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain trusting relationships.

  • Understanding of the data sets that can be pulled from the system for reporting purposes.

  • Effectively organize, prioritize and execute on initiatives to enhance corporate performance.

  • Support experimentation to find the best solution.

  • Ability to develop financial acumen to better understand economic and financial value drivers.

  • Must have strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office/Excel, PowerBI and JDE ERP.

Working Conditions: Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  During COVID19 conditions, this role will work remotely to mitigate risk.  This position will require Minimal travel when conditions allow.
