Position Summary


Summer internship position will be for a student who will be responsible for assisting in providing accurate, complete and meaningful reports and analysis used for business management and decision making.  The intern works closely with department and/or functional managers to determine report requirements, build reports, and quality test them prior to distribution.  The intern also provides support with project management services for large data projects.


Essential Job Functions



  • Assist to develop and deploy reporting and analysis that is accurate, complete and properly summarized to aid in management of business and management decision making. Responsible for extracting and summarizing data from JDE and other corporate systems.

  • Has thorough knowledge of other corporate software, programs and data tools.  Assists managers with report design and development.  Tests reports and ensures that these perform as expected.

  • Understands flow of data internally and in relation to the workflow.

  • Assist with the production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly trend and activity reports as well as other operational and management reports. Ensures that reports are produced per scheduled timelines for review by functional management teams.

  • Analyzes large amounts of data and investigates and researches anomalies. Works with department and/or functional teams to correct issues when identified.

  • Works with IT Business Intelligence team to design, test and deploy reports for general usage.

  • Provides support to management to produce reports and analyze large amounts of data as part of acquisitions or other special projects.

  • Produces ad-hoc reporting as assigned

 


Education/Certification 



  • Enrolled in a Business, Accounting, Finance or related program from an accredited university.

Experience/Minimum Requirements



  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.  Second year of school completion is preferred.

Other Skills/Abilities



  • Ability to use MS Office programs, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Capable of listening carefully and following directions.

  • Detail Oriented.

  • Able to tell a story through data.

  • Open mind with creative ideas for future initiatives to improve through digital transformation.

  • Written and verbal communication skills.

Reports to: Project Manager, Contract Development.


Location/Working Conditions: Fully remote internship following current work from home policies.
