We are looking for a Lead Product Designer with strong interaction design and information architecture skills to join our Dentsply Sirona eCommerce team. In this role you will work directly with the Sr. UX Manager to create digital experiences that empower our customers to explore, shop and learn more about the Dentsply Sirona brand. The Lead Product Designer will apply design-thinking to help the eCommerce team conceptualize and user test new eCommerce experiences and provide functionality to increase user satisfaction - while working to develop a cohesive and consistent experience throughout our platform.

This role is also responsible for preparing development-ready visual assets and deliverables to support implementation teams. The Lead Product Designer will collaborate cross functionally with business, IT, and eCommerce teams.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as lead Product Designer for one of Dentsply Sirona's eCommerce channels, while applying design best practices to create intuitive shopping experiences for our customers
  • Work with business and technical teams to translate product goals and requirements into thoughtful experiences with useful and responsive user interfaces
  • Collaborate with eCommerce stakeholders to develop user research artifacts such as personas and journey maps to inform the design process
  • Create design documentation and visual assets such as user flows, site maps, wireframes and prototypes to support product development needs
  • Conduct user testing or moderate user feedback sessions to validate design assumptions and get feedback on new concepts
  • Contribute and provide feedback to the product style guides and design system
  • Contributes to design team best practice in product design, user experience, web accessibility and user testing
  • Collaborate with analytics team and business partners to identify customer behaviors and trends to drive future product enhancements
  • Contribute to the overall product strategy, vision and roadmap for eCommerce product design and user experience

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience

The ideal candidate will bring real-world experience as an interaction, UI or product designer with an appreciation for business strategy and software development. S(he) is detail-oriented, comfortable with designing from ambiguity and has strong design sense and creative intuition. They prefer to test new concepts and interaction models in low fidelity to inform their design decisions. The ideal candidate is result-driven and understand how their deliverables impacts the overall organizational goals and roadmap. S(he) is skilled in design and prototyping tools and contributes to design operation efficiencies and culture. The candidate has a desire to suggest new ideas, receive feedback and continuously learn as part of a cross-functional design and implementation team.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in UX design
  • A background in Interaction Design, Visual Design, or User Testing
  • A digital portfolio that showing design process and past work is required
  • Ability to apply design thinking to product challenges while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities for day-to-day deliverables and have ownership over design challenges associated with your product's user experience
  • Experience with user-centered design principles, responsive web design, typography and color, and user research / testing
  • Basic understanding of web accessibility as it relates to design and implementation
  • Experience and proficiency using design tools to create wireframes and interactive prototypes (such as Adobe XD, Sketch and InVision)
  • Experience working with agile teams
  • Experience with content management systems preferred (Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Basic understanding of front end web development (HTML/CSS/JS)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

LOCATION

The position will be based in Charlotte, NC. Remote candidates may be considered.

Expected travel - 10% with peaks and valleys
