Tax Administrative Specialist

Key Role Responsibilities:


  • Perform scanning, photocopying, faxing, and mailing responsibilities

  • Organize tax notices and assist with correspondence to IRS and states

  • Coordinate personal property tax filings by corresponding with property managers in the field

  • Process electronic or paper copies of business income tax returns received from CPA firms

  • Independently manage follow-up correspondence on various projects & responsibilities

  • Work with spreadsheets daily to maintain & track data for multiple projects

  • Provide a wide variety of administrative support to the Tax Department including billing, invoice processing, coordinating calendars, and assisting with recordkeeping of important meetings

  • Assist with event planning for the larger Accounting & Finance team

Primary Requirements Include:


  • AA degree or higher required

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in office administration required

  • Previous CPA firm experience or general knowledge of tax returns is preferred but not required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint) required

  • Strong Adobe Acrobat Pro skills required

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to manage time well and meet critical deadlines

  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with care and professionalism

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
