Job Description:

Just Associates is seeking a Patient Identify Expert to join our growing team!

This is an entry level opportunity to learn and grow in the health information management space.
As the Patient Identity Expert you will research and change data within a hospital information system or an ancillary application during an MPI Data Reconciliation Project.

This is a Per Diem Position 25 hrs per week.

What will be your impact:


  • Collects designated information from hospital applications that affect merge planning and downstream tasks.


  • Performs merges of duplicate medical record numbers in designated applications, following a standard procedure.


  • Completes demographic updates to patient records as needed during the electronic merge processing.


  • Creates spreadsheets for medical record or radiology jacket retrieval purposes.


  • Performs self-monitoring to ensure high quality work is maintained.


  • Collects daily productivity statistics and documents on appropriate forms if required.


  • Completes other data entry tasks as required.


  • Maintains accuracy of 97% or higher on Merge Planning QA. Maintains accuracy of 95% or higher on Electronic Verification QA.


  • Complies with client processes on projects and JA company policies.


What we would like to see:


  • Data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.


  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.


  • Medical terminology experience preferred.


  • Ability to be a self-starter.


  • Strong computer skills.


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.


  • Previous experience working within a medical facility is preferred.


  • Health Information Management experience or education in this area is preferred.


Other:


  • Working remotely from a home-office environment. 


  • Periodically need to travel to the JA Denver Metro office to attend meetings, training events as required. 


  • This role may occasionally come into contact with Protected Health Information, Personal Identifiable Information or Privacy Records, and it is essential that all employees adhere to confidentiality requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Harris’ Security and Privacy policies, as well as apply the concepts learned in the annual Security Awareness training.
