The Supply Chain & Inventory Control Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials between outside storage facilities and on-site warehouse facilities. The flow of materials is managed according to production schedule, inbound materials, and in-transit materials. The Coordinator will also ensure accuracy of outside inventory, and coordinate material flow.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to inventory control policies and standards by outside storage facilities
Work with outside warehouses ensuring correct shipping of materials
Confirm accuracy of inventory reviewing counts, signing off on final counts and performing random documentation reviews
Monitor dispatch activities, adjusting to ensure timely and quality deliveries
Work with Supply Chain, Receiving and Inventory Control teams ensuring timely availability of materials
Continuously communicate with Supply Chain team confirming status of deliveries
Understand finish goods specs and material standards
Plan and react quickly to production changes and other issues that may arise on a daily basis
Evaluate freight, ensure count accuracy, and prepare discrepancy reports
Work with outside Inventory Managers to resolve inventory discrepancies
Ensure proper and accurate completion of documentation
Audit inventory on a regular basis ensuring counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner
Maintain clean work environment keeping area free of trash and product in correct locations
All other relevant duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor Degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration preferred
2+ years supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, material planning, inventory control, warehousing, and shipping and receiving functions
Excellent Excel program knowledge and skills
Experience with barcode scanner gun
Knowledge of structure and content of English language to communicate properly with audience (Suppliers, Warehouse personnel, Truck Drivers, Management, Freight companies, etc.)
Reliable, responsible and dependable
Must be available weekend work as required
Excellent time management skill
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing workload
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
Strong organizational and time management skills
Physical/Environmental Factors:
Cold, humid environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees
Stand and walk majority of work day
Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels
Climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, bend, and lift various weights
Exposure to strong, raw odors
