Job Description:

The Finance and Business Management team works closely with AM Technology and the wider stakeholder groups across JPMAM and Global Technology in the management, support, development and control of the AM Technology strategy and balance sheet.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic thinker to join a high-performing team that supports Asset Management Technology and Finance & Business Management. The role will collaborate with a matrixed team across the business, technology, and finance to move the organization to the target state. You will need to have a comprehensive understanding of your aligned business, including overall vision and strategy, product roadmap and workstream deliverables, program metrics and financial reporting, staffing and resource planning, and more.

The Business Manager will work as trusted advisor and counterweight to CTOs. Your main responsibilities include responsible for supporting high-profile projects, aiding in preparation for business reviews for senior executives, and problem solving on a wide range of subjects.

A Vice President in Tech Business Management would be expected to:


  • Partner closely with your respective Technology CTO partner (and their respective management team) to help achieve their yearly objectives while managing their daily/weekly agenda, including (but not limited to) management meeting follow-ups, Town Hall preparation, & monthly accomplishment reporting
  • Day-to-day support for financial, headcount and location strategy, coordinating high-profile projects, and aiding in preparation for critical checkpoints by collaborating with the Technology, Finance, and Recruiting/HR
  • Manage the annual Budget process end-to-end while ensuring preparedness for key stakeholder reviews during planning season (e.g. AMOC), including Product roadmaps, financial and headcount targets, and Clarity portfolio construction
  • Responsible for overseeing your CTO's project portfolio (e.g. Clarity PPM) and working with Project Managers to ensure all tasks are completed, e.g. accurate resource allocations, milestone reporting, and more
  • Frequently interlock with Finance team on year-long financial reporting, annual IDS Capitalization questionnaires, and TCO/Profitability results
  • Work on vendor management, contractor expiration, Tech purchase requests tracking, expenses and financial issue resolution, and others
  • Participate in collaborative initiatives with key stakeholders, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes (agile transformation)
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to executive ad-hoc requests related to project management, presentation development, and business analysis

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in financial services, business management, or strategy
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships within all levels of the organization and influence key stakeholders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, and ability to "tell the story"
  • Ability to interpret and present complex data; Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proven experience in deriving insights from data analytics (using Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tool)
  • Mature, independent, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player
