Job Description:

Midwest Systems, a premier intermodal service company providing transportation and tank container services, is seeking a skilled Chassis Mechanic to support operations at our St Louis MO facility.

Primary responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):

• Maintaining trailer chassis by installing & repairing brakes, suspension parts, and pneumatic & hydraulic system parts


• Modifying, constructing, and repairing frames, metal truck bodies, and trailers


• Installing electric wiring for dome lights, taillights & brake lights


• Equipment fitting and assembling components using hand tools and portable power tools, spraying or brushing primer or protective coating on wood and metal surfaces


• Other duties as assigned 

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED


• Minimum of 1 year DOT repair experience or equivalent training,


• Experience working in an industrial setting
