Installation Productivity Manager at Dematic Corp.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

An Installation Productivity Manager’s focus should be to work closely with Dematic management to determine departmental issues effecting project installation efficiencies, prioritize those needs and manage the efforts of an installation software developer, engineer, quality lead, & lean facilitator to make the necessary changes to correct the issues identified.    

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 


  • Work closely with Installation Lean Black Belt to facilitate internal meetings with PM, Engineering, Supply Chain & Installation personnel to determine gaps that cause installation to be inefficient on site

  • Generate required documentation defining and justifying the needs for process changes to present to other Dematic stakeholders

  • Prioritize day to day efforts for installation software developer, engineer, quality lead & lean facilitator

  • Report out to Installation Directors on status of productivity projects

  • Visit installation project sites to evaluate current state and look for gaps that cause inefficiencies

  • Work with installation training manager to develop documentation and roll out plan as required for change management

 



Qualifications

Education:
Minimum High School diploma

Preferably degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering)

Knowledge and Experience:


  • Must have working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma as it relates to construction or manufacturing

  • Must be able to independently develop, lead, and manage multiple initiatives using common project management methodologies (JIRA for example)

  • Must have extensive experience in Microsoft Excel & data manipulation/analysis

  • Must have experience in studying efficiencies as it relates to tasks (i.e. time studies, labor estimating, etc.)

  • Must understand reporting of data in tools like Microsoft Power BI

  • Must be familiar with tools like Microsoft PowerApp or Google AppSheet

Must be able to present high-level ideas to management and installation supervisorscontractors.
