What You'll Do

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality development and delivery of Aptima software. You willlearn and constantly communicate with the Software Team on the projects they are assigned. It is important that a Software Engineer communicates timing on tasks and can properly estimate completion. Continued educational development is necessary for all software engineers but especially Associate Software Engineers. You should also follow the technical vision set forth by Aptima and apply applicable standards and processes during development. Included are the core goals of facilitating ongoing development, promoting scientific and technical advancement, increasing revenue, and ensuring that Aptima remains, or becomes, a market leader in the associated area.Other responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and cooperate with fellow software engineers in a team setting

  • Provide feedback and insight to fellow engineers on software development progress

  • Continue to develop and expand software knowledge with acquiring new skill sets and experience through the course of development

  • Strive to maintain high quality software development leveraging internal and industry standards

  • Seek support and mentorship from Senior Software Engineers

  • Attend meetings to coordinate progress and tasking

  • Communicate with Project Managers to better define requirements of software tasks

  • Communicate with both internal and external about software architecture and design for assigned tasks



Experience Needed


  • Strong Experience in C# and/or Typescript/JavaScript or related programming language

  • Frontend frameworks experience with Angular or related frameworks

  • Prior successful experience working in a software team is a plus

  • Successful software development experience and/or academic background relevant to product.



Minimum Requirements


  • U.S. Citizenship and/or the ability to obtain a Security Clearance

  • BA, BS, or equivalent in Computer Science or related degreepreferred

  • 1+ years ofrelated experience



Working Conditions (ADA accommodations may be sought)


  • Business travel will be required, oftentimes to military sites.

  • Unless otherwise agreed to in writing or authorized under policies of the Company, the employee must report each working day to one of Aptima's places of business to conduct their employment activities.

  • All commutes to an employee's assigned Aptima place of business will be made without expectation of travel per diem.
