Have a direct impact:

As a Business Development Representative of CareerCert at Carrus, you will work in a territory as an outside sales executive to develop and maintain dynamic relationships with Ambulance Services, Fire Departments, and Hospitals. You will be responsible for increasing revenue by creating long term, mutually beneficial relationships with customers and prospects using highly skilled efforts with qualified targets and decision makers to uncover opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, close contracts, and manage the territory effectively.

A day in the life:

Technology Pitching:


  • Independently drive conversations with existing, marketing developed and your own prospects in health systems and education professionals around technologies and platforms offered by Carrus e.g. Self-paced, VR platforms, 3D platforms, scenario-based platforms, VILT and LIS.


  • Use every customer interaction opportunity for benefit selling based on feature offerings

Sales Cycle Management:


  • Ability to gain access to and influence key decision makers in Emergency Medical Services accounts


  • Management prospecting and sales activities, manage and develop sales accounts, manage client proposal processes, and conduct sales presentations with key executives.


  • Deliver on performance goals / quotas associated with developing, pursuing, and closing customer prospects.


  • Attend conferences and professional association meetings and promote CareerCerts EMS product solutions and brand.


  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas


  • Effectively negotiate and close business

Travel: This position requires frequent travel, 20%-25%, to customers and conferences. Most travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Youll be successful in this role if you:


  1. Drive results: You love the challenge of a close. This is a sales position which holds a quota. You have a demonstrated track record of success in sales and are comfortable in a sales environment where the sales cycle can be 3-6 months long.


  2. Customer focus: Have a strong understanding in EMS education and LMS compliance requirements for Continuing Education. Youre currently engaged and involved in EMS association regionally and nationally. (plus not required)


  3. Ensures Accountability: You take pride in your hard work. Must be a self-starter to grow your assigned territory with your tenacious spirit to drive results.


  4. Cultivates innovation: Youre always looking for new ways to create a pipeline and staying ahead of the industry trends and sales tactics.


  5. Tech savvy: Anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree or higher


  • 1-3 yrs of B2B related experience


  • Fire or EMS experience (preferred not required)


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


  • Able to do both telephone and in-person sales calls and presentations

Skills


  • Have excellent communication and consultative selling skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and executives.


  • CRM - Salesforce preferred


  • Excel or similar


  • Excellent written communication skills
