Ready Mixed Concrete Co., A CRH Company, has been the premiere concrete supplier in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area since 1929. SUMMARY

This is an internal only position for current CDL A or B Drivers who will serve as a back-up/relief dispatcher.   Receives and enters orders for ready-mixed concrete by performing the following duties.   

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 


  • Receives calls from customers and guides the customer through the ordering process.


  • Establishes delivery times according to factors such as truck capacities, distances to delivery site, and fleet availability.

  • Enters the order into the computer.

  • Places orders at the appropriate locations determined by jobsite location and plant availability.

  • Advises customer on mix to use for specific application (i.e. footing, walls, flat work, etc.).

  • Monitors equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.

  • Handles all calls in a professional and helpful manner.

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must maintain your Class A or B Commerical Driver's License (CDL)

 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as delivery tickets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
