Core Responsibilities:



  • Ensures parts are clean and free from foreign matter prior to initiating penetrant inspection process.

  • Processes parts in accordance to the fluorescent penetrant inspection procedures designated by customer specifications and industry standards

  • Visually inspects each part and interprets indications and evaluates to customer specifications.

  • Maintains Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) equipment and material according to required customer specifications and industry standards.

  • Prepares records of testing results.


Qualifications:



  • Must be able to pass a required annual vision test.

  • Must be able to pay exceptional attention to detail

  • Must have good communication skills

  • Must be knowledgeable or have experience in welding, brazing, heat treating and chemical milling and cleaning

  • Must be able to achieve NDT Level II Certification per NAS 410.

  • Must have good analytical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Previous manufacturing experience in the aerospace industry preferred

  • Previous FPI certification preferred but willing to train the right candidate


Education Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
