Ensures parts are clean and free from foreign matter prior to initiating penetrant inspection process.
Processes parts in accordance to the fluorescent penetrant inspection procedures designated by customer specifications and industry standards
Visually inspects each part and interprets indications and evaluates to customer specifications.
Maintains Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) equipment and material according to required customer specifications and industry standards.
Prepares records of testing results.
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a required annual vision test.
Must be able to pay exceptional attention to detail
Must have good communication skills
Must be knowledgeable or have experience in welding, brazing, heat treating and chemical milling and cleaning
Must be able to achieve NDT Level II Certification per NAS 410.
Must have good analytical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational skills
Previous manufacturing experience in the aerospace industry preferred
Previous FPI certification preferred but willing to train the right candidate
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
