Overview

As a Capture and Proposal Coordinator, you work in the Chief Growth Officer team and will be responsible for supporting account business development teams across the company in defining, positioning, crafting and selling technical solutions to our government clients. This will include coordinating activities to align capabilities to our clients' challenges, developing technical materials, and applying our design thinking processes to generate new organic opportunities. You will work with the Sr VP of Growth Operations in support of Account Executive and Sector Leadership strategies and account plans, helping to develop capture strategies and organize resources to develop solutions in response to client challenges. You will work with the team to create innovative, practical solutions to satisfy pressing client priorities and help to cultivate new growth opportunities across the company that are aligned with industry and technology vendor innovations. Specific responsibilities will include:

Contributions

    Working with CGO Leadership, Portfolio Leadership, and Account Managers to organize capture activities that drive new opportunity pipeline and sales bookings;
  • Coordinating the development of white papers, RFIs, and proposal responses to support sales pipeline growth, client sales calls, and delivery team education;

  • Working with the CGO, CTO, and Portfolio resources to developsolutions for clients as part of the business development team to support qualification and closure of new opportunities;

  • Supporting business development teams in developing initial staffing approaches for solutions, and working with delivery SMEs to provide inputs into more detailed staffing and pricing;

  • Working with legal, contracts, capture, and pricing teams on all facets of the capture management and proposal preparation and submission process;

  • Representing Steampunk within government industry groups, serving as a speaker/presenter at conferences and writing public blogs, articles, and white papers in support of industry events, as applicable

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in technical, business, or related discipline

  • At least 5 years of experience in federal business development, capture, and proposals

  • Experience supporting sales/business development teams in client facing meetings, presentations, and written responses for government procurements;

  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, withproficiency in multiple methods of visual communication and oral delivery

  • Experience in conducting research to support Account Teams

  • Experience working in a team, but also being able to prioritize and self-manage

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
