Description

Under general supervision, the incumbent takes receipt of equipment and materials on behalf of the department and reconciles the packing slips with the original Purchase Orders. Processes requests for equipment and materials from inventory, and stages for pickups and delivery to job sites or other warehouses. Maintains accurate inventory of materials and equipment in department's inventory control system, Pinnacle. Picks up decommissioned equipment and materials from the field for return to inventory or surplus. Packages equipment and arranges pick-ups for shipments to vendors for RMA, repair or refurbishment. Assists Data Communications Technicians with installation and decommission of network equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Associates degree and at least one (1) technical experience. Experience with warehouse, inventory, and material handling. Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

* Ability to maintain inventory of telecommunications equipment and material components in warehouses to support the growth and maintenance of the telecommunication networks.

* Demonstrated understanding of shipping and receiving processes.

* Inventory management skills.

* Ability to maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing equipment and supplies in warehouses, documenting counts and locations in our inventory control system.

* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals.

* Ability to drive a full-size cargo van.

* Valid Driver's License.

* General knowledge of Excel and updating a spreadsheet.

Preferred:

* Ability to operate a scissor-lift or bucket truck.

This position requires a background check.
