Position Title: Asset Liability Management Analyst

Location/Affiliate: 220 Liberty Street, Warsaw, or FSB Plaza-Chestnut Street, or Buffalo

Purpose: The ALM Analyst is responsible for maintaining the systems, data and analytical modeling of the Company's interest rate risk. This position is a dedicated resource for Treasury staff position to assist the Treasurer in investment portfolio decisioning, earnings simulation testing, and serving as a back-up to the Cash Administrator position, Municipal line of business, and CDARS/ICS sales. This position performs various analytical and financial reporting modeling for senior management while performing additional responsibilities in the Treasury, Finance, and Accounting functions as assigned.

Essential Functions: The major duties of the job that constitute the fundamental tasks and or responsibilities of the position. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.


1. Maintains the systems, data and analytical modeling of the Company's interest rate risk. Develops scenarios, reports and recommendations for senior management.

2. Develops and maintains a model governance framework and control structure for the interest rate risk model, in accordance with regulatory best practices.

3. Monitors ALCO policy limits and reports compliance measurements to Corporate Treasurer.

4. Assists the Corporate Treasurer in management of the investment portfolio.

5. Collaborates with Senior Treasury Analyst and Corporate Treasurer in the management of liquidity stress testing framework.

6. Interfaces with broker / dealer network for ongoing collateral management related to the derivative portfolio.

7. Serves as a back-up to the Cash Administrator function, including determining the Bank's daily cash position ensuring required reserve targets and correspondent bank balances are maintained, decisioning over investing and borrowing funds completed in accordance with Bank policy, and reporting of the Bank's liquidity position on a daily basis.

8. Prepares, performs and distributes financial analysis related to the Treasury, Municipal, and CDARS/ICS lines of business and derivative activities.

9. Applies analytical research and assistance to Finance staff in developing in-house profitability reporting on a fully allocated, co-terminus funds transfer priced basis.

10. Assists with external reporting including both SEC and bank regulatory report preparation on an as needed basis.

11. Prepares, performs and distributes internal financial analysis, including but not limited to, cash flow projections, budgeting, and long-term forecasting on an as needed basis.

12. Gathers and reviews information for Treasury and Finance related vendors for GLBA compliance in conjunction with the departments and Vendor Management Specialist.

13. Demonstrates the standards and principles of the Five Star experience in every interaction with internal and external customers and associates. Incorporates the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example and service in every facet of work.
