POSITION SUMMARY:  

Evaluates, analyzes and modifies complex specifications then designs/Configures/builds/tests/deploys applications to meet those needs.  Designs procedures to solve complex application programming problems, taking computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results into consideration.  Actively engaged as technical lead in IT projects and IT operational support activities.  Work activities will include SaaS application development, troubleshooting, configuration, and backlog management.  Mentors other analysts and business partners as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Configuration of cloud-based tracking and reporting platform that helps organization automate critical processes.

  • Collaborate with business owners/stakeholder to understand business needs, business processes, project specifications, business case development, and data sources.

  • Configure data in testing and production environments to support business requirements.

  • Inputs/repairs data in testing and production environments.

  • Design automated processes to improve efficiently in business operations.

  • Work with end users to troubleshoot issues.

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SaaS applications.

  • Create proof of concept prototypes based on business requirements.

  • Interact with the applications team and understand the technical designs.

  • Conduct usability and functional testing and implement and/or recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Participate in migration, handover, key-user training and deployment activities.

  • Gather the data from primary or multiple sources, and maintain information using organized data systems.

  • Interprets the results from the data sources and use the information to develop new dashboards, reports and analytics.

  • Identify and interpret any patterns or useful trends in complex data sets.

  • Leads and mentors new or less experienced Analysts.

  • Enables end-users to observe detail level data in a way that it can be analyzed and understood giving users the ability to turn data into actionable information.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics or related field.

  • At least Ten (10) years of experience with system analysis and DevOps. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • 4+ years of Workday experience.

  • 3+ years of Workday Financial experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Workday Financial implementation methodology.

  • Configuration of business process workflows, worktags, reports, and dashboards.

  • Management of all FDM activities.

  • In-depth understanding of the technical architecture of Workday.

  • Workday Pro Certification in Financials required, Workday Pro Certification in Security or Integrations a plus.

  • Aptitude for learning new SasS technologies.

  • Experience with configuring and administering SaaS platforms.

  • Strong business analysis, business acumen, and problem-solving skills and ability to identify issues, concerns and challenges and the ability to implement workflows.

  • Ability to read and write programming code along with an understanding of object-oriented design.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to gather information and grasp complex technical and financial issues as well as the ability to maintain and support data analytics platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions as well as strong customer service skills.

  • Understanding of relational databases and data integration tools.

  • Understanding of HIPAA and relevant FDA regulations ensuring compliance and implementation throughout job duties.

  • Understanding of SDLC.

  • Maintain operations documentation that promotes and demonstrates sound technology management practices, including updated operations manual, knowledge base, user support guides, training materials configuration control,  risk log, and other appropriate information that is relevant, pragmatic, and tailored to the size, complexity, and activity.

  • Act as the liaison between business users and internal/external IT resources.

  • Strong orientation towards customer service.

  • Experience with achieving deadlines for project milestones.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and demonstrates the ability to manage multiple initiatives effectively.

  • Understanding of HIPAA and relevant FDA regulations ensuring compliance and implementation throughout job duties.

  • Superb ability to perform complex requirements gathering and process modeling.

  • Good leadership skills, including directing the development team in the design, development, configuration, coding, testing, and debugging of applications.

  • Subject matter expert who can apply highly complex knowledge and technical skills and add to the existing body of knowledge in specialization through original research.

  • Ability to create tools to store data and present information through reports and visualization.

  • Ability to maintain and support data analytics platforms.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:  

•    Reports to the Application Development Manager. No direct reports.
