Evaluator, Population Health at Cottage Health

Job Description:

The Population Health Evaluator supports Cottage Population Health evaluation efforts to understand the impact of Population Health's programs and initiatives on the intended populations. The evaluator will provide expertise, direct support, and coordination on multiple evaluation projects. They will also support with the development of evaluation tools and resources to build internal and external evaluation capacity.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

.Provide support with evaluation plan design, implementation, and reporting for Population Health programs:

• Develop evaluation plans collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Create data collection tools or identify evidence-based tools. • Collect and synthesize evaluation data.

• Data entry and cleaning.

• Develop action plans and systems to facilitate and track implementation of evaluation.

• Summarize findings in reports and presentations.

Develop evaluation tools, resources, and approaches to support internal and external evaluation capacity building/strengthening efforts.

Provide implementation and coordination support for Cottage Population Health programs/or initiatives.

Writing and submission to peer reviewed journals and professional conferences, including presenting to external stakeholders.

Supports Population Health department with new initiatives, data collection needs, and program development as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in public health, behavioral health, social sciences, evaluation, or similar field.

Preferred: Master's degree in public health, behavioral health, social sciences, evaluation, or similar field or equivalent work experience.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum: Proficient in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Advanced computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred: Familiarity with secondary data sources such as County Health Rankings, CDC Wonder, etc. Experience with EPIC, McKesson, ARC-GIS, and/or comparable software.

YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum: Three SQL Server, Oracle, SPSS, Stata years in conducting population health or public health research and/or evaluation.

Preferred: Ten years of experience in evaluation and/or data analysis. Experience with research and data collection.
