Job Summary: 
 
The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), formally Defense Security Agency, is a federal agency of the United States Department of Defense solely responsible for the national security clearance process. The Vetting Risk Operations Center (VROC) conducts advanced vetting methodologies designed to address insider threat risk within the government’s cleared population. DCSA has a current requirement to conduct vetting at the National Counterterrorisn Screening Center which will be conducted by two Senior Intelligence Analysts. 
 
The Intelligence Analyst, Sr will report to the Intelligence Analyst SME at Hanover Maryland and will provide all-source intelligence analysis support using NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS systems, to access required counterintelligence, counterterrorism, insider threat, foreign intelligence entity (FIE), investigations, and operations data in the form of reports, data queries, finished intelligence products, research, briefings, white papers, and other products as required and according to SOPs, protocols, and requirements. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to apply basic understanding of the various forms of intelligence in order to incorporate this data into intelligence analysis to include, but not limited to, HUMINT, SIGINT, OSINT, and investigative data.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and coordinate comprehensive analytical products supporting and evaluating collection via applicable systems, IAW SOPs and/or protocols. These reports include but are not limited to Expedited Screening Information Reports, Risk identification and Source Directed Requirements (SDRs) from analytical assessments findings.

  • Maintain and update tracking mechanisms, files, and systems in support of RFI tracking, product progress reports, trend and vulnerability analyses, and data calls on a daily basis.

  • Prepare and provide informal and formal briefings as required, on intelligence and/or analytical products, assessments, and status reports to Government personnel, to include senior level leaders.

  • Capture and analyze current business processes and procedures for specific tasks and make recommendations for efficiencies.

  • Prepare comprehensive Analytical Assessment reports, and recommendations using other relevant information and intelligence, for use in, but not limited to: CI activities, referrals, and suitability and security determinations.

  • Provide operational and analytical guidance to mid and junior level analysts which supports the Government requirements, executive orders, and policies.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred). In lieu of a degree, substitute 12 years' experience in all source, counterterrorism and/or counterintelligence analysis. 


  • Minimum eight (8) years of all-source, counterintelligence and counterterrorism analysis experience. Of the minimum eight (8) years of total experience:

    • Minimum of four (4) years experience in counterintelligence analysis.

    • Minimum of four (4) years of intelligence report writing experience.



  • Certificate of completion in one of the following certified Department of Defense courses: Counterintelligence Agent, Intelligence Analysis, or Human Intelligence. 

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.

  • Must have a proficient understanding of threat country collection methodology, order of battle, and general intelligence activities.

  • Must be proficient in properly marking classified documents, adhering to disparate classifications of data, and handling of classified information across domains.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 

  • Highly proficient in utilizing current intelligence-related automation, applications, tools, and databases to support intelligence analysis and production.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. 

  • Ability to interface and coordinate with various IC agencies and participate in inter-agency working groups.
