Job Description:

Primary Function

Speak with people across the country who have expressed an interest in a mortgage, help them select the right products, and close sales.

Principal Duties


  • Provides superior customer service skills by responding to company-provided leads in a timely manner from: internet, direct mail campaigns, radio ads, referrals or other special marketing campaigns

  • Originates first home mortgages and refinance loans

  • Takes mortgage loan applications by phone and prepares effective loan proposals

  • Engages with consumers, determines their needs and offers the appropriate products

  • Meets individual monthly sales goals

  • Obtains all necessary information to close the loan in a timely manner, including but not limited credit reports, income verification, appraisals, lien searches, etc.

  • Stays informed of developing trends in the mortgage industry

  • Provides superior customer service

  • Maintains compliance with company Code of Conduct

  • Other duties as directed

  • Possesses the desire to either be a Sales Manager in the future and/or willing to participate in company projects when requested.

  • Willing to mentor new employees when asked.

Education and Experience Requirements


  • At least 3 years of purchase and/or refinances (non-relationship) lending experience. 25% of their overall production during that period would have to fall into those buckets.

  • NMLS SAFE ACT/UST Compliant, licensed preferred but not necessary.

  • Must have experience utilizing persuasive, selling communication skills

  • Must maintain mortgage licenses by completing mandatory annual continuing education

  • Demonstrated ability to connect quickly with people in an outgoing, friendly manner

  • Must possess the ability to work efficiently and accurately
