Primary Function

The VP of Non-QM Business will be responsible for growing NewRez Non-QM origination beyond $2 billion through our various channels including wholesale, correspondent and retail. The focus of this position is to support NewRez Non-QM production growth with the development of products through credit risk, capital markets, and the required support for each individual channel. The position will also oversee the creation of a scenario desk and use specific programs to assure loans are closed in accordance with the guidelines and prepared for securitization.

Principal Duties


  • Develop and execute Non-QM business plan with thorough market and competitor analysis

  • Develop Non-QM products and tools in conjunction with credit risk, underwriting and channel sales leaders

  • Lead, develop and manage a team of business development, scenario desk, underwriters, closers and post closers for multiple channels directly and indirectly

  • Partner with rating agencies and investor partners on quarterly securitizations to maximize liquidity and execution

  • Create and implement business development materials and training programs to educate production channels, clients and consumers

  • Ensure production channel success with consistent improvements to exceed our collective goals - product, pricing, technology, process, capacity

  • Partner with vendor groups on implementing business strategies - i.e. due diligence, technology, underwriting.


Other duties as directed Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Seasoned mortgage leader in one or more of the following areas: product development, sales, capital markets

  • Expertise in mortgage banking

  • Experience in managing a business line preferred

  • Non-QM lending sales and mortgage banking experience a plus.
