Job Description

Role Overview:

The primary purpose of this role is to support the execution of the digital transformation strategy and value creation programs with cross functional teams for Global Supply Chain Manufacturing.  He/she will be a member of a central team to advance systems, processes & capabilities to achieve a highly connected, operationally intelligent manufacturing environment across Kimberly-Clark’s global facilities.  Influential communication and the ability to strategically navigate at all levels of a diverse global organization are essential in this role.  Key stakeholders include, but not limited to, Senior Leadership, ITS, Engineering and Region/Mill teams.   

Key Responsibilities:


  • Drive integration effort post digital system deployment by developing framework and methods for value creation, and coordinate and drive successful implementations for KC manufacturing sites post digital system deployment with integrated digital foundation system (MES, Historian, and advanced technology) and manufacturing excellence programs such as integrated OPEX/Reliability/Sustainability, etc.


  • Must have a strategic global mindset with the ability to dimension business case/value delivery out of qualitative, disparate data points within many layers of the organization.


  • Key participant in the development and implementation of a Global Digital Manufacturing vision and strategy.


  • Facilitate and/or lead the development of internal training, capability programs and best practice sharing for emerging data and analytics systems, concepts and tools. 


  • Research emerging trends and new manufacturing technologies to develop insights and recommendations to Leadership and Strategy Core Teams.


  • Champion supplier collaboration to optimize current intelligence platforms while strategically aligning new opportunities to the Global transformation initiative.


  • Ad hoc analytical support for (but not limited to): OEE, ATS, OTIF, OPEX & Reliability.


  • Contribute to other Global Supply Chain strategies as needed to advance the organization.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, R&E, Finance, ITS or a related field from an accredited college or university


  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience in which 3+ years in a manufacturing role


  • 2-3 years of experience and expertise in digital system and software (GE MES, OSI PI historian, etc.)


  • Previously demonstrated ability to successfully lead the execution of a global, regional or functional strategic initiative with proven business results


  • High interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, coach & lead a diverse group of team members


  • Ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic and developing Kimberly-Clark domain


  • General understanding of end-to-end supply chain interconnectivities relative to overall business implications


  • Must be willing to travel approximately 20%, some of which is international


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Working knowledge of Operational Excellence and/or Reliability concepts and processes


  • Advanced degree from an accredited college/university


  • Advanced statistical and analytical skills


  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office (advanced Excel), JMP (or like), Analysis for Office, Business Intelligence (BW/BEX) and Tableau


  • Competency with manufacturing systems and operational technologies: MES, PI Historian Servers, PIMS/PIPE, PLC/DSC/SCADA, or other related systems/devices


  • Strong knowledge of internal supply chain metrics: OEE, ATS, OTIF & RFT


  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification


  • CI/Lean, Project Management and Change Management (CAP)


  • 2+ years of experience in a Consumer/Professional business unit
