City Experiences is seeking a Landing Busser for our Boston Harbor City Cruises operation.

About the Opportunity:

Bussers are hired to work at The Landing at Long Wharf, a fully outdoor restaurant located in Boston, MA that serves food and drinks to its customers. Bussers are responsible for assisting bartenders with serving customers food and beverage items at The Landing at Long Wharf. They are also required to ensure that the establishment is fully stocked, set up properly, and cleaned at all times. 

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Help open establishment, set up patio furniture.  

  • Clean counters, equipment, and other items in the establishment. 

  • Help maintain the grounds including cleaning the patio, watering plants, maintaining overall appearance of establishment.  

  • Greet guests and help answer questions about the menu and surrounding area inside and outside the establishment. Help with seating of guests as needed.  

  • Assist with taking food and drink orders. 

  • Serving food and drink orders to guests at their tables.  

  • Clearing tables of empty plates and glassware periodically to ensure cleanliness and guest comfort.  

  • Check equipment and stock levels of various restaurant items.  

  • Understand how to check pars and levels for stock.  

  • Prepare basic food items on menu. Run prepared food from back of house to guest tables. 

  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the establishment.  

  • Check with bartenders to see what needs to be restocked – all products must be restocked at the end of the night. 

  • Help close out restaurant including cleaning, organization, and restocking. 

  • Help with product inventory. 

  • Additional job duties as assigned.  

Requirements & Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential. 

  • Will be closely supervised; must be able to take direction and multitask. 

  • Able to prepare basic food items. 

  • Basic knowledge of food allergens preferred. 

  • Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to coworkers and guests. 

  • Basic math and calculations skills.  

  • Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others. 

  • Will work for extended periods without sitting. 

  • Able to work outdoors in all temperature environments. 

  • Able to lift at least 50lbs. Will be required to be available for work weekends and on all major holidays 

  • Must meet minimum state age requirement of 18yrs.
