Accounts Payable Coordinator - Herndon, VA

 

JobSummary:

The Accounts Payable Coordinator (APC) is the central coordinating point for processing vendor invoices.  The APC receives all invoices and other payment requests from vendors and fellow employees for forty-six companies. The Accounts Payable Coordinator reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Accounts Payable. With a steady workload and varied tasks, the APC will be expected to reassess priorities to meet strict deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount for uploading/processing vendors invoices. Excellent communication skills will allow APC to effectively interact with internal and external clients as well as maintain a professional relationship with staff in all of our offices.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:                                                                                         


  • Uploading vendor invoices to Accounts Payable SharePoint site.

  • Scanning vendor invoices/documents to the SharePoint site

  • Prepare voucher packages for review and approval.

  • Reviewing all open and received PO’s.

  • Ensure the invoice contains the Costpoint account code, purchase order number, and authorized approval signatures.

  • Communicate regularly with vendors and employees on all levels.

  • Effective handle vendor and employee inquiries including account research, correspondence and communications when needed.

  • Must be able to function well in a high paced office.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Other related duties may also be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Required Skills & Experience:


  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Data entry skills.

  • Microsoft Office Applications.

  • General math skills.
