Responsibilities

    The cyber test team leader shall lead the execution of cooperative vulnerability penetration assessments and adversarial assessments in support of the Department of the Navy's Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) Force (COMOPTEVFOR) Cyber mission
  • Develop test briefs and present to Cyber leadership

  • This position will provide Cybersecurity direction, instructions and guidance for testing and evaluation of systems within the acquisition process during pre-test, test execution and post-test efforts

  • Provide leadership and management support during penetration tests on applications, systems, and networks utilizing COMOPTEVFOR Cyber OT&E policies, guidance and procedures to meet deadlines

  • Provide scheduling and resource management of multiple Cyber OT&E engagements from cradle to grave

  • Provide management and tracking with inputs to test plans, execution of test events, and post-test reporting

  • Responsible for supervising, managing, and motivating team members daily

  • Participate in capture the flag events, cyber off sites, external engagements such as red team huddles and red team technical exchange meetings; develop required products and materials in support of these events

  • Observe, collect, and analyze Cybersecurity data, document tests and test results

Education/Qualifications

Required


  • Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or related fields

  • IT, cybersecurity experience (operating systems, applications, networks and communications)

  • Ability to plan and execute concurrent complex projects

  • Experience briefing senior level leadership

  • Able to work effectively with management, staff, vendors, and external consultants

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to clearly articulate technical issues both written and orally

  • Project management or team management experience in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of penetration testing or vulnerability assessment methodology

Preferred


  • Master'sdegree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or related fields

  • DoD Red team experience

  • DoD / Navy environment experience (networks and communications)
