About the Job

We are seeking a staff level Civil Engineer with zero to five years of experience in water resources, stormwater management, and site development. The ideal candidate has some experience with CAD and Civil 3D functions. Technical writing proficiency is a plus.

Stormwater Engineers and Water Resources Professionals at Dudek work on complex and innovative projects, frequently in a cross-discipline environment.Dudek offers a broad opportunity for personal growth based on an individual's own performance and initiative.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technical tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Hydrology and hydraulics (engineering calculations and modeling);


• Stormwater management system design


• Water quality analysis, modeling and best management practice (BMP) design;


• Stormwater permitting and regulatory compliance;


• Technical document preparation.

Minimum Requirements

• BS in civil engineering


• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain soon

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong technical writing and communication skills


• Technical understanding of stormwater management, hydrologic analyses, hydraulic modeling, stormwater quality management techniques, stormwater quality permitting / documentation, and site development


• Familiarity with California municipal, industrial, and construction National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) programs


• Familiarity with stormwater BMP design and performance and/or urban pollutant sources and fate and transport processes


• Experience with modeling and design software including: ArcGIS, AES/CIVILD, HEC-RAS, and AutoCAD/Civil3D
