The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to products and services The University of Kansas Health System utilizes or may utilize. This position utilizes their knowledge of supply chain to identify the full scope of services necessary to bring a product or service to the end-user. The Sourcing Analyst identifies and calls out risk associated with each data set to ensure high-value quality, safety and financial return to the organization.
Position Description:
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
Analyze and collect data relevant to the procurement of products and services on a system level
Monitor industry trends and be aware of relevant and economic business factors
Interact with vendor suppliers to source alternative products, negotiate contracts and ensure value-add service is provided to the organization on a system level
Executes upon the activities and tasks to achieve the department's strategic plan
Leverages all available tools to access best pricing of assigned product or services categories and revolutionary product and/or service offerings.
Manage and build vendor relations through collaboration on strategic and innovative initiatives for the organization, contract negotiation and quarterly business reviews
Performs ongoing analysis of assigned products, services and contracts with the goal of attaining the best value decision while considering quality, safety and outcomes
Collaborate with Supply Chain Informatics teams to review the pipeline of initiatives and soon to expire contracts. Handoff between Value Analysis and Utilization Management teams on approved projects ready for end-user collaboration and execution.
Ensures contracting processes are thoroughly completed for assigned products and services.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree
(OR)
Minimum of five years' commensurate experience in supply chain
Fluent in English with advanced communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft applications
Familiarity with Lean concepts and processes
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands
Preferred:
Master's Degree
Certification in Materials and Resource Profession (AHA CMRP) or Value Analysis (AHVAP) certification
Minimum 3 years' commensurate experience in Supply Chain Value Analysis
