Job Description:

The E.W. Scripps news station, Q2 KTVQ and CBS affiliate is seeking a Lifestyle Client Content Producer in Billings, MT. This role is a subject matter expert in multi-platform marketing that drives revenue with lifestyle content that drives career, health, financial, education, community, and social wellbeing.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Co-create client lifestyle marketing plans and create long form relevant TV and digital content that informs on wellbeing through lifestyle and results in increased viewer engagement.


  • Target and develop potential clients for lifestyle segments.


  • Be able to present and illustrate the benefits of segments to an overall business strategy.


  • Align and present to area restaurants with a strategic content and revenue sharing strategy.


  • Partner with sales colleagues to co-create effective presentations that result in increased revenue, market share, and valued lifestyle content that promote community wellbeing and client success.  Assist account executives in integrating lifestyle marketing plan into sales presentations and digital marketing team with content production.


  • Performs as the multi-platform lifestyle host including duties of non-news local programming and writes and posts content to the web.


  • Executes on demand lifestyle assignment as well generates lifestyle marketing demand by creating story ideas and content leads.


  • Produces and edits video recording and photography for a wide range of station projects, including local programming feature packages, tease bumpers, and promotional spots.  Familiar with digital based storage and servers.


  • Gathers and verifies story information through interview, observation, and research.


  • Organizes material and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards of specialized programming.


  • Appears on television program as the Lifestyle Host and may produce live from business or offsite.


  • Assists key stakeholders such as production team in preparing show, account executives in integrating lifestyle marketing plan into sales presentations and digital marketing team with content production. 


  • Perform other duties as needed


WHAT YOU’LL NEED:


  • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent experience.


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in related field with marketing, production and lifestyle or wellbeing experience required.


  • 3 or more years of experience working in a commercial broadcast facility preferred.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:


  • Computer literacy required, including production and content creation technology as well as Microsoft office proficiency.


  • Must be highly creative, collaborative, and results driven.


  • Effective communicator; strong broadcast and long form content style writing skills and emotional intelligence.


  • Must be able to work well under pressure and daily deadlines.


  • Knowledge and demonstration of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics, and libel laws.


  • Ability to create quality work on tight timeframes and deadlines.


  • Able to work independently on larger, moderately complex projects.


  • Able to work effectively with sales sponsored clients.


  • Expertise in consultative marketing strategies including local media traditional and digital products, processes, and practices.


DRIVING REQUIRED:

Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and ability to provide proof of insurability with company required insurance limits.
