Job Description:

Policy Management Specialist

Manages the policies and procedures of the organization.

Full-Time Position (80 Hours Per Pay Period)

Shift: Days        Days: Varied

Wages Based Upon Experience

  • Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools:  Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

  • Responds promptly to internal and external customer needs and requests for service and assistance

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

  • Ability to provide feedback for improve performance

  • Ability to monitor own work to ensure quality

  • Listens and gets clarification, responds well to questions and participates in meetings

  • Writes clearly and informatively

  • Able to read and interpret written information

  • Synthesizes complex or diverse information, uses intuition and experience to complement data

  • Pursues training and development opportunities and strives to continuously build knowledge and skills

  • Ability to manage competing demands

  • Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

  • Ability to complete tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan

  • Demonstrates high level of attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational, telephone, and written communication skills 

  • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

  • High school graduate or equivalent, with additional technical or specialized training in organizational skills

  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred (Health, Policy, Communication, Business, Accounting, Finance or related fields a plus) 

  • Certification in CPPS or other related certification within 2 years of hire

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience required to perform essential functions of position
