Director, Cybersecurity Design & Engineering

Participates in and drives the designs and builds of secure system infrastructures and architectures by establishing business requirements, translating them into secure technical solutions, and overseeing the testing and ensuring the performance and capacity of security solutions for GreenLake Management Services (GMS) and GreenLake offerings at large.

Responsibilities:

• Directs the strategic direction and work of a large team or group working to enhance, further and execute best practice development, definition, delivery and testing processes of security solution architecture, infrastructure and engineering


• Acts as a subject matter expert in security requirements definition, documentation, development and deployment processes


• Directs managers, team leaders and professionals in the delivery of cybersecurity architectures, infrastructures and engineering


• Acts as a subject matter expert for the development and delivery of innovative cybersecurity system architectures and infrastructures leveraged by GMS to deliver services to HPE customers by leveraging deep industry expertise and industry-leading knowledge of information security and technology


• Acts as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity solutions for GMS and influences GMS strategic security decisions


• Acts as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity solutions for HPE clients and influences HPE client's strategic security decisions


• Develops strong relationships with client executives and other subject matter experts and represents company externally as a subject matter expert


• Defines methods, processes and tools to support cybersecurity architecture and infrastructure development

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in computer science, engineering or related area of study


• Typically 13+ years of relevant experience


• 8+ years of experience leading people and teams

Knowledge and Skills:

• Industry-leading Cyber and IT security knowledge


• Industry-leading understanding of Cyber and IT security risks, threats and prevention measures


• Industry-leading secure system architecture and infrastructure design and development skills


• Industry-leading HA system and Linux skills


• Industry-leading skills in relevant program/scripting languages


• Industry-leading understanding of security standards and best practices


• Industry-leading risk assessment and management skills


• Industry-leading understanding of networking and network security


• Industry-leading knowledge of relevant security tools and products


• Industry-leading project management skills
