The primary focus of this position is to ensure blood management and transfusion related activities are conducted in the safest possible manner that is designed to meet all existing regulatory safety requirements.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a field of science.
Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing or a field of science.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum: An active CLS license with the associated educational requisites inherent in obtaining this certification.
Preferred: A CLS license with the inherent and associated educational requisites with at least 2 contiguous years (within the last 3 years) of active CLS practice in a hospital laboratory including at least 3 months (within the last 2 years) of hands-on experience commensurate to the level of a Laboratory Lead position in a hospital laboratory.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: At least one year of experience with HCLL and Beaker (EPIC) laboratory information systems as well as ability to produce analytic reports in MS Excel and Power Point applications necessary to present to the blood utilization committee (BUC) and prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Must have served at least 3 aggregate months (within the last 3 years) acting in a Laboratory Lead position in a hospital laboratory.
