Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Senior Fund Accountant to join NavHub team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Supervisor with daily control review of specialized processing, exception resolution, and reconciliation activities of the business line's net asset value (NAV) execution duties including: transactions, capital stock, expenses, corporate actions, cash and special handling.

Some of your key responsibilities include:


  • Provides training, guidance, and coverage for Fund Accountants to ensure daily accounting deliverables are timely and accurate.


  • Monitor and assist in the resolution of issues.


  • Follow up on open inquiries.


  • Interact with other BBH departments on resolution of issues.


  • Break follow up and resolution.


  • Help identify/document errors in an effort to reduce exposure.


  • Processing as necessary based on team workloads


  • Ensure daily output standards for both quality and timeliness are met.


  • Coordinate intraday and end of day prioritization and reconciliation of daily work/proof and control.


  • Help to ensure all deadlines and requirements are being met.


  • Manage daily production reporting.


  • Review and verify work of team members.


  • Approve/provide sign off of team members work.


  • Provide training, in coordination with the Supervisor, for the development of team members


  • Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in order to minimize risk and exposure.


  • Communicate with internal departments as necessary.


  • Contribute to Management Reporting (ie: Clarity, PVC's, past dues, cash breaks, R&A analysis).


  • Gain an understanding of the big picture - how specific function impacts the firm.


  • Contribute to Division/Firm process improvement activities.


  • Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity.


  • Manage multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently despite resource and time constraints.


Qualifications:


  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.


  • 1 to 2 years of fund accounting, custody, securities processing or other industry experience.


  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills


  • Research, analysis and problem resolution skills.


  • Ability to communicate professionally through effective verbal and written skills.


  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented.


  • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.


  • Ability to work in a team environment.


  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.


  • Proactive self starter who is detail and goal oriented.


  • Ability to work on US Holidays.


  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
