Summary of Position:

This position is an on-site HR presence supporting a warehousing and transportation location. The HRBP will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR Strategies. The HRBP will be responsible for the delivery of customized human resources solutions to support Recruitment, Onboarding, Employee Engagement, Talent Management etc. in alignment with thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services HR.

Key Accountabilities:

• Acts as a liaison between employees/managers of a business unit and the corporate HR function
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on human resources topics, HR best practices and changing employment topics/laws
• Partner with leadership to achieve business goals
• Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend actions and follow up
• Conduct orientation sessions with new managers regarding HR polices and processes
• Assists and coordinates training for various locations
• Assist in new hire process by coordinating various new hire Onboarding activities
• Assists in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures
• Prepares reports to track HR Metrics to support and track HR initiatives
• Manage and respond to inquiries and special projects, as required, that support Corporate HR.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
• 5+ years' of related experience as a Human Resource Generalist, HRBP or HR Manager, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3+ years' experience with California HR support in the manufacturing/warehouse and/or transportation industries
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to relate information with clarity.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft platform and time and attendance systems, for the purposes of data entry and report creation and maintenance.
• Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Requirements:
• Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
