About the Opportunity:


Under the supervision of the Associate Director of HSSQE & VP of HR, Covid Compliance Admin will monitor the health of front-line employees reporting to Homeport by performing temperature testing and maintaining employee roster / questionnaires. The Human Resources /Covid Compliance Admin position is a vital safety control for NYC Ferry in stopping the spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19. The Human Resources /Covid Compliance Admin will assist with administrative work as needed in other departments.



  • This position is temporary and schedule is two 12 hour Weekend Shifts 

About You:


This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Always take necessary COVID-19 precautions; if you are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms, can answer “yes’ to any questions on questionnaire or have a temperature of over 100.4 degrees: contact Associate Director of HSSQE, Human Resources VP and stay home.

  • Perform temperature testing on front-line employees using an Infrared Forehead thermometer in accordance with company policy & procedure.

  • Perform COVID-19 questionnaire as required by NYS guidelines and maintain associated records in accordance with company policy & procedure.

  • Communicating positive results of temperature tests and/or questionnaire to Human Resources VP.

  • Maintain inventory/distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • Communicating any deficiencies in testing equipment to Associate Director of HSSQE.

  • Answer general employee inquiries regarding benefits information, company policies, company engagement initiatives, and more

  • Reach out to employees on daily based to find out status of the results from testing and notify VP of HR when employee is clear to work

  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:



  • Ability to effectively operate electronic devices.

  • Be able to work in fast environment

  • Problem solver, and resourceful

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Available to work Weekends and holidays.

  • Be able to work 4am shift

  • Strong customer service required

  • Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
