About the Job:
We are looking for a Louisville, KY based Senior HR Manager to join our growing Appriss People Team. The Senior HRM will be responsible for supporting employees across multiple business units and Corporate functional teams from both an operational and strategic perspective. Start-up energy for a passionate team environment is required.
The primarily goals of this position are to: help leadership align organizational and individual capabilities with the business's strategy and needs, maximize the employee experience, and drive a robust organizational climate to attract, develop and retain the right talent to the organization.
The Senior HRM will be a member of the Global People team, reporting to the HR Director and partner closely with the Insights, Retail and Data Science leadership teams.
Hopefully you have a good appetite because your plate will always be full. On any given day, you'll be asked to:
Oversee employee performance metrics and manage the performance review process
Conduct compensation analysis and planning, including market analysis, and salary surveys and make recommendations to the business
Train our team, including managers, and help with professional development strategies
Drive people processes and ensure compliance to global procedures, policies and best practices
Be a strategic advisor on business unit recruiting and hiring plans
Develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy in line with the business plan and the global HR plan.
Ensure HR strategy supports the needs of the business but is also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organization.
Provide thought leadership and report on data such as: turnover, retention, engagement, employee development, cost per hire, etc. Ensure data accuracy and leverage information to create deep insights that facilitate decision making.
Maximize the employee experience and design enhancement plans for the organization.
Drive talent strategy including individual, HiPo, and manager development programs.
Support organizational change-management projects, communications, and transition plans.

Previous experience driving successful HR Strategies with senior leaders by building strong business relationships.

Familiar with best practices for people processes and experience in coaching managers through these processes and leading these practices whenever necessary.
Business acumen-overall understanding of company finances and how to use this information to push back and support managers in their resource planning.
Ability to solve problems both operational and strategic through a pragmatic and sound business approach.
Effective planner who is able to anticipate problems ahead of time, planning for both worst-case and best-case scenarios.
High level of competency in writing, speaking and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Qualifications: 8+ years in Human Resources and/or Organization Management
BA/BS in Business, Finance or Communication, MBA is a bonus Previous Human Resources or Management Consulting experience at Deloitte, Accenture etc. Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills Proven track-record of problem-solving and solid critical judgment
Worked in technology, high-growth companies, and/or start-ups Strong analytical skills Uncompromising ethics
